Toyota Super Bowl 2018 Ads

There will be two Toyota Super Bowl 2018 commercials.

Volkswagen has beaten again Toyota in terms of the most cars sold in 2017. At the NAIAS 2018 Toyota announced a big Super Bowl 2018 ad buy. The Japanese car maker will run two 60-second Super Bowl commercials in the Big Game, according to AdAge.

The first Toyota Super Bowl 2018 commercial will be about Toyota's sponsorship deal with the Olympics. The Super Bowl ad will be in line with the "Start Your Impossible" campaign. This will be more of an image commercial and less about specific Toyota cars. The other new Toyota Super Bowl commercial will be airing during the Half-time of the Big Game. The second ad will be about Toyota cars, but the company declined to reveal any details. At the NAIAS 2018, Toyota unveiled the all-new 2019 Avalon.

Toyota's Lexus car brand will also get a Super Bowl 2018 ad. The Lexus Super Bowl 2018 commercial will be a tie-in with Marvel's Black Panther movie and promote the new 2018 Lexus LS 500.

About 15 Super Bowl 2018 ads have been announced so far. This much lower than in past years at three weeks ahead of the Big Game. Super Bowl advertisers are announcing their expensive commercials closer to the Big Game than in past years as consumers attention span is decreasing. Another factor is the fear of social media backlash in case the commercials hit the wrong buttons. Most of the Super Bowl 2018 social media and marketing campaigns will kick off in the week before the Super Bowl taking place on Sunday, Feb. 4.
