Nissan proudly shows off its Xmotion Concept Vehicle at the 2018 NAIAS. Dramatic three-row SUV concept signals a Nissan design direction for 2020 and beyond.

Nissan showcased the Xmotion concept which happens to be a supercool SUV. It is in line with the company’s long list of crossovers. It has just had its unveiling ceremony at the 2018 NAIAS.

Six passengers can fit into this vehicle. It is the finest combination of Japanese and American cultures in the form of unbeatable technology. The vehicle is the epitome of rugged individualism and powerful tradition in a beautiful exterior.

The meeting of East and West is evident in this vehicle. Connectivity and self-driving features furthermore define this behemoth on wheels. It is an amalgam of digital art and cultural complexity.

"In the Xmotion concept, we explored the more rugged and powerful side of Nissan Intelligent Mobility. Bold and powerful forms and proportions are, upon closer inspection, contrasted with aspects of traditional Japanese craftsmanship expressed in a contemporary way," said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.

"The exterior's combination of western and eastern concepts continues inside the Xmotion, where advanced connectivity and autonomous technologies mix with modern Japanese digital art and cultural craftsmanship. At a glance, Xmotion may appear to have a minimal design language, but a closer look reveals layers of detail that make this concept exceptional."

Exceptional and very elegant, this SUV indicates the future of Nissan’s designs. It has U-shaped highlights. The grille is of the V-motion type. The vehicle’s tires are meant for the open road and all sorts of rugged terrain.

They have traction and are made of durable stuff. The taillight design is taken from Japanese woodwork. With a lengthy wheelbase, it serves as a vehicle with two seats in the front for a youthful couple and the rest of the seats for their children or other passengers.

The interiority is one of minimalism and matches the Japanese scenery which is one which invokes a feeling of serenity and peace of mind.

As for the carpentry skills used in the inside, they resemble those found in the building of devotional sites. The wood panels on the trim are sophisticated and give off a sober look.

"We envision the Xmotion concept to be a highly functional SUV that can be driven every day, yet can take the owners and friends to a national park or recreation area on a whim," Albaisa said. "With its combination of style and technology, this concept fulfills Nissan's mission of moving people to a better world."

"We see Nissan and the Xmotion concept bringing the celebration to everyday life, to make every day feel like going somewhere special," Albaisa said. "We hope that those who view the vehicle at auto shows around the world will feel the very same way."

The Xmotion concept and the full lineup of 2018 Nissan vehicles are on display at Detroit's Cobo Center from Saturday, January 20th through Sunday, January 28th.
