Walmart Brings One Box and Three Female Directors to the Oscar's

Get excited about three stores of "The Box" at the Oscar's on ABC. Watch the teaser below.

While other brands are busy promoting their Super Bowl 2018 Ads, Walmart is teasing its Oscar's 2018 commercials. Walmart will again be a sponsor of the Oscars. Like last year, the giant retailer is running short films. This year Walmart hired three female directors to create stories of "The Box."

Walmart teamed up with Melissa McCarthy, Nancy Meyers, and Dee Rees to create three films inspired by the blue Walmart box. Each of the three 60 seconds Walmart films begin with the blue Walmart shipping box. Then it's up to the directors to tell a story with the content of the box, its purchaser and more.

Melissa McCarthy is not known as a director, but famous for her comedic acting in Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters or Spy. Also, lets not forget her incredible impersonation of Sean Spicer on SNL.

Nancy Meyer, in contrast, is a very well known director. She directed The Intern, The Parent Trap and more. Dee Rees is screenwriter and director. She is the director and writer, known for Mudbound.

Walmart will release the trailers for the new The Box films on walmart.com. The nominations for the 90th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, Jan 23.

The 90th Academy Awards will air live on March 4th, 2018 on the ABC Television Network. Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2018 Oscars. It's the second time for the Jimmy Kimmel Live host in a row.
