Apple to Discontinue Original iPhone X Later This Year
  • Apple will Discontinue Original iPhone X After Launch of Next Model

Apple Inc will Stop Production of iPhone X instead of Allowing its Cost to go Down

Apple is to curtail the churning out of its iPhone X models since a second generation version will come out sometime later in 2018. That is instead of decreasing its cost price to $999.

The reason for this is simple. Were Apple to reduce the price tag of its iPhone X, this would take away from the price of its 6.1 inch iPhone which will launch later on this year.

This latter model will be sold for $650 and $750 in the USA. In order to avoid harming its later models, Apple is going to all the trouble of scrapping plans for producing its iPhone X in scads.

The fact that Apple is ready to kill its iPhone X is something worth pondering over. It’s one of those crucial decisions that are smart and shrewd and have the weight of wisdom on their side.

The reality behind the appearance is that when spanking new phones get obsolescent, they also become dirt cheap which then interferes with internal revenues.

According to MacRumors, this is the reason why many people will wait for 365 days before buying a new phone since by the end of that period, the price tag will have been slashed to a fraction of the original price which was too steep for many.

However, this is not the case with the iPhone X. That is why it is being discontinued as far as its manufacturing is concerned. Apple does not want to take the risk of a loss in case of this one.

The lowered price of the iPhone X could do some serious damage to Apple’s mid-range gadgets. Thus if you come to think of it, Apple had no choice and had to do this for sheer expediency’s sake.
