Leaked Photos of Mavic Air Drone show Receding Appendages and 4K Camera

The Mavic Air drone is not any ordinary hovering gadget that buzzes around your head. It comes with a 32 megapixel camera that has a 1/2.3 CMOS sensor and a novel image signal processor to boot. The video clips the camera produces show 4K resolution and a clicking rate of 60 frames per second.

Update: The DJI Mavic Air is official and available for pre-order.

According to the leaked photos by DroneDJ, this camera is linked to a three-axis gimbal which looks to be the same one found on the Mavic Pro. The two axis version on the DJI Spark drone is something else altogether and not like the one found on the Mavic Air drone.

The Mavic Air has four appendages that recede into their corners to allow for the drone to be portable in a handbag or attache case. The outer style of the drone is smooth and sensual.

The rounded and streamlined corners make it classic space age stuff. On the front, back and bottom are sensors which aid the navigation of the drone around obstacles and hindrances.

A VPS makes for easy flying in an indoor environment without accessibility to GPS facility. The sensors basically do all the work. A gesture control system is employed to stabilize this drone.

Thus users can use certain hand signals to control this cool gadget with ease and equanimity. With a single swish of the hand, the drone can take a picture or two as well as change its position while hovering in the air.

The flight time of the Mavic Air is 21 minutes. The drone also comes in a variety of hues which include: black, white and red. The price tag of DJI Mavic Air is $699.
