Mercedes Super Bowl 2018 Car Game Training is Live Now

Get ready to become a pro in the Mercedes Last Fan Standing car game.

Update: Mercedes having huge issues with the Last Fan Standing game. Mercedes tweeted that the game is still on. It was supposed to start at 6:30 pm ET. It's now 6:50 pm ET. They clearly underestimated what it means to run a game like this during Superbowl.

The registration and training for the Mercedes Super Bowl 2018 game "Last Fan Standing" is released. Mercedes-Benz is not advertising in the Super Bowl LII broadcast, but garners attention with an incredible online game during the Big Game. During the Super Bowl LII broadcast, you can win in a mobile game a hot Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe ($63,140 MSRP plus $19,842 cash) as price.

The game will begin at 6:30 pm ET, kickoff time of the Super Bowl 52. The game called “Last Fan Standing” is a modern take on a classic mall challenge in which people need their patience and stamina to win a new car by being the last person with a finger planted on the car. Now you need to keep your finger on the display of your smartphone, following a car around the screen.

You can register and train now online at the last fan standing site. You need to access the site with a mobile phone and play in landscape mode. I registered and played the game. The Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe moves around the Super Bowl stadium of 2019 slowly, but you really need to pay attention to not lose it. The car is not moving fast but it takes you around the whole screen with movements in all directions and the view zooms in and out. A green dot indicates that you're safely on the car.

The C43 can get as small as your fingertip and as big, filling the screen. One test run is 3 minutes and 15 seconds including the simulation of a timeout. You can earn a 5-minute time-out when you share on Twitter that you are joining the game. From the 3 minute playtime I can tell that the Last Fan Standing game is going to be exhausting. Playing this for an hour requires a lot of stamina. If you get distracted by just a second or two, you will be out.

Mercedes gives all kinds of good tips to prepare for the challenge to win a The $63,000 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe. Tips include to connect your smartphone to power, turn off notifications, keep food and drinks within reach and more.

The Super Bowl 52 brings again must-see Super Bowl commercials. A 30-second spot sells for more than $5 million, but that didn' stop several Super Bowl advertisers to buy time for long-form commercials to tell their story. Storytelling replaces dogs and weird ads. There is of course not a single sexy Super Bowl 2018 ad. Objectifying women is more than ever not acceptable in the light of the #meToo movement.
