Apple could be developing the second Gen iPhone SE for 2018

iPhone SE by Apple was a great smartphone for the mid-range customers. The smartphone has not been taken up by Apple for upgrading after its first release. But recent reports are suggesting that Apple is getting ready to revive the forgotten phone in 2018. Taiwan’s Economic Daily News published the report, saying that 2018 is a big year for iPhone SE which was released in 2016 and received no upgrades in 2017.

The report says that iPhone SE will feature a 4-inch display, and could feature the hardware seen in iPhone 7. This deduction was made by analyzing the very small available pattern, iPhone SE was released with iPhone 6 and 6S hardware powering the device.

It's not very hard to believe this news as Apple is making massive efforts for 2018 and a number of reports regarding Apple’s other products are looming in the landscape. A recent report by Trendforce says that Apple is getting ready for another flagship this year, it will include an upgraded Face ID sensor, larger memory, and AMOLED display panels in at least two of the models coming this year.

This report aligns perfectly with previous rumors suggesting that Apple is developing an iPhone X Pus for 2018. The rumors said that Apple is planning to ship two high-end models in 2018, one would be the 5.8” OLED iPhone X, while the other is a larger version of the X, an iPhone X Plus with 6.5-inch OLED displays will be released.
