Toy Fair 2018: App Controlled Paper Airplane PowerUp Dart Kit Debuts

Hyper successful crowd-funding project PowerUp Dart comes to the New York Toy Fair.

The Israeli based PowerUp Dart project raised over $1.8 million on Indiegogo. PowerUp Dart converts ordinary paper airplanes into a remote-controlled airplane.

The PowerUp Dart module utilizes Bluetooth smart technology to easily control and maneuver a small paper plane with speeds of up to 25 MPH and a range of more than 200 feet. The tiny indestructible carbon fiber detachable unit provides a double thrust-to-weight ratio, enabling highspeed stunts and tricks. A Dart-equipped paper airplane can perform loops, flips and barrel rolls with ease. The unit also includes landing gear for takeoff and landing capability.

The PowerUp Dart gives users the ability for aerobatic flying, all based on a paper airplane that they make themselves. The PowerUp Dart kit includes plane templates for users to fly, but the design possibilities are endless. Users can control their flight using intuitive gesture controls or the gamepad-style app interface.

The PowerUp Dart kit retails for $49.99 and can be pre-ordered on Indigogo with delivery by February 2018. The Dart comes in two different colors (red or blue). Watch a video showing the PowerUp Dart paper airplanes in action below.
