  • Spyro The Dragon Remaster Reportedly in the Works for PS4

According to Reports a Remastered Edition of Spyro the Dragon is Coming to PS4 in 2018

The games in Spyro the Dragon series are ready for a remaster. This will be launched sometime towards the end of 2018. The release will be for PS4 on an exclusive level. It will come to other platforms too though only later onwards.

The primal Spyro Trilogy consisted of: Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage and Year of the Dragon. Activision is remastering it all. This scheme is being handled on a one-on-one level in the same manner as the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

There will be better graphics and a more pleasant OST to boot, according to a report by Kotaku. Many other improvements will be made as well. The Trilogy will include stuff that was begged, borrowed and stolen from the original version of the game.

However, the nitty gritty on this remains a bit in the shadows for now. This project will come out into the open in March. Then it will be released in the third quarter of 2018.

PS4 will exclusively feature this game and it will later on also become available on other platforms. There have been flying rumors of an Xbox release but everything is still pretty much up in the air. You never know whether a certain news is real or fake for now.

In September of 2018, the 20th anniversary of the PS1 game will be celebrated with pomp and show. The studio responsible for this is the one that would later on go on to make such games as Ratchet & Clank, Resistance and Sunset Overdrive.
