Google Reacts to John Oliver's Report and Bans all Cryptocurrency Advertisements

Cryptocurrency related ads are going to be not allowed anymore on Google's ad network.

Stating in June, Cryptocurrency related ads are banned on the Google ad network. The search giant has made adjustments to its advertising policy to reflect the new ban.

"Cryptocurrencies and related content (including but not limited to initial coin offerings (ICO), cryptocurrency exchanges, cryptocurrency wallets, and cryptocurrency trading advice)," states the new restricted financial products policy taking effect in June of 2018. The new policy can be found here.

Facebook has already banned Cryptocurrency related advertising. Google apparently needed a final push delivered possibly by John Oliver's report on Cryptocurrency on Sunday.

John Oliver tackled Cryptocurrencies in HBO's Last Week Tonight show. He showed how insane anything related to Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies in general and blockchain is. John Oliver brought out Keegan-Michael Key at the end of the show to hype "responsibility." Apparently, it worked.
