Sega is one of the most hit game developers and the games from the developers are among the best. The brand has developed some of the all-time favorite games worldwide and they are offering the best of their best in a Genesis Collection.

After some Sega fans posted screenshots and trailer about the new collection, Sega made an official announcement that Sega Genesis collection will release this Spring of 2018.

Furthermore, they added that the gaming consoles to get this collection include, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Despite it’s increasing popularity, Nintendo Switch will not be getting the new collection.

As previously revealed, some of the more elusive game developers are not committing big with the relatively new gaming console and they are more willing to keep developing their games for the long-established gaming consoles from Microsoft and Sony.

The collection will include some of the most popular games by Sega, namely; expect Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Shining Force, Virtua Fighter 2, Phantasy Star and Streets of Rage series.

The collection will also contain some great features like, Rewind and a host of visual filters to keep the games looking authentic, full multiplayer capabilities and Trophies/Achievements, and a special Mirror Mode that allows you play the game with the screen flipped horizontally for extra challenge.

Sega Genesis Collection will be appearing as it is already available on PC via Stream and the PC version will also be getting the updated version of the collection.

Genesis collection’s exact release date has not been announced. Many would comment that Sega was forced into making an official statement about the release of the game as enthusiastic fans were insistent about the news of the release of the game.
