Nintendo Switch announced the release of Flashback which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this June

Do you remember Flashback which released back in 1993 on PC and it was designed for SNES. It was developed by Microids, created by Paul Cuisset and it became one of the highest selling games at the time.

The game was an advanced sci-fi game, well ahead of its time. The players played as Conrad B. Hart who wakes up on one of the colonized moons, Titan around Jupiter.

Being chased by kidnappers and enemies, Hart must escape to Earth during which he unravels “a fiendish extra-terrestrial plot” that threatens to destroy the moon and all on it. Sounds interesting. What is more interesting is that the game has been around for 25 years now.

To celebrate the game’s 25th Anniversary, Microids and Nintendo are developing the game to release on Nintendo Switch. The portable gaming console has become a popular item among games.

Many games are being released almost everyday on the console but Flashback seems to be a befitting release on it. Furthermore, the game will be released in a 1993 mode and a Modern Mode.

The Modern Mode will feature post-FX graphic filters, a remastered soundtrack, a “Rewind” function according to the level of difficulty, and tutorials for new players.

The gamers from for Europe and Australia can get a special Collector’s Edition which will includes a physical copy of the game in a metal case designed after a SNES cartridge, instruction booklet, and the digital soundtrack.
