Amazon Prime Day 2018: Whole Foods Deals are in the Cards

Amazon Prime Day 2018 will be the first after Wholefoods acquisition.

The Amazon Prime Day 2018 sales event will take place in July unless Amazon changes plans. The upcoming Prime Day is the first after the Whole Foods acquisition. Prime members can already order Whole Foods groceries through Prime Now. Amazon also offered special deals at Whole Foods for Prime members during the Holiday season.

Prime members got for instance discounts on Thanksgiving turkeys. It's very likely that Whole Foods will be part of the Amazon Prime Day 2018. With Whole Foods, Amazon has 450 retail locations. The giant retailer can use them to make Prime Day also an event in the real world. Prime Day is a sales event comparable with Black Friday or Cyber Monday that Amazon created out of thin air. Other retailers are apparently not able to create something of that scale.

Amazon expanded last year Prime Day to last 30 hours. We would not be surprised if we soon end up with a Prime Week sale. To get access to Prime Day deals, shoppers need to have a Prime membership.
