VW makes its Atlas more Compact and thus continues its SUV Drive

The Volkswagen Company has showcased its Atlas Cross Sport at the New York Auto Show. This is a more compact version of the Atlas and has five seats in it rather than the usual seven.

Also it is part and parcel of the SUV drive begun by VW. The Atlas was basically designed in the USA and is meant for a home market. This Cross Sport is 7.5 inches shorter than the other Atlas found in showrooms.

These two have the selfsame wheelbase though. The high tech exterior is coupled with a light bar frontal design and flashing logotypes on both sides.

The streamlined body of this car is linked with a sloping D-pillar and roofline spoiler. As for the alloy wheels, they are 22 inches in their dimensions. The structure around them consists of arches which makes the look appear to be one of masculine ego.

Internally, this vehicle has a trio of high resolution screens. This is similar to other Audis including the A7. The first screen lies between the steering wheel.

It displays the important facts about the car. As for the second screen, it shows light amusement and connectivity alternatives. Finally, the third screen displays climate control options.

The VW company has emphasized that this car represents a concept and that comes within the purview of the next generation of infotainment tech cars. Besides a V6 engine, it has 276 hp and works with a pair of electric motors.
