Lexus and 23andMe Team up for DNA Based Car Configuration

Here we go. Lexus and 23andMe partner for April Fools' Joke.

Lexus and 23andMe, the home DNA analytics maker launch Genetic Select car configuration. Genetic Select is a revolutionary new car buying experience that takes the only thing that matters into consideration when selecting a vehicle—the driver. You just send in some spit to Lexus and you get your perfectly configured Lexus with the perfect color, trim, horsepower allotment, seating configuration, and radio presets, within a 99.99967 percent degree of accuracy.

We could go on, but of course, this is an April Fools' joke. The first one of the year that we have stumbled upon. Lexus has taken quite the effort and launched a site for the joke and released a video that you can watch below.

Besides the crazy configuration idea, Lexus gave the joke way with the April 1 launch date for the Genetic Select. Watch the somewhat entertaining video below. There will be plenty of April Fools' jokes from brands in the next days. Look out for fishy announcements from Google and others. This year April Fools' day is on the same day as Easter. Amazon has a wide range of April Fools' gear to chose from. The selection includes fake snakes, fake roaches and a talking toilet paper roll that talks like Donald Trump.
