Lego Ideas 21314 TRON Legacy Set Is on Sale

The new Tron Legacy Lego set is available starting today.

Lego announced today the availability of the Lego Ideas 21314 TRON Legacy set. This is yet another fan created set that Lego is bringing to the market. First proposed by the British brothers Tom and Drew (a.k.a. BrickBros UK), also known from their YouTube channel BrickBros UK, submitted the project in October 2015.

Inspired by Tom and Drew's update to their project, the Lego design team decided to include Rinzler's orange Light Cycle to the set as well to increase the overall play and display value. Watch a behind-the-scenes video showing the design process for the Tron Lego set at the end of the report.

The final set features 2 Light Cycles, each with minifigure seats and translucent-colored light-style elements, plus a divisible TRON grid with attachment points for the vehicles.

You can use the grid as a display base for the Light Cycles or split it into 2 to recreate the chase scene from Disney's TRON: Legacy movie. Alternatively, stage an Identity Disc battle between the 3 included LEGO minifigures—Sam Flynn, Quorra and Rinzler—on the grid. This construction toy includes a booklet with information about its fan creator and LEGO designers, plus the lowdown on Disney’s TRON: Legacy movie and its main characters.

The Lego Ideas 21314 TRON Legacy Set is on sale in the Lego online shop for $34.99. See all 2018 Lego sets announced at the Toy Fair 2018.
