Atari VCS Game Line-Up Rumored to Include Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Xevious, and Galaxian

A list of Atari VCS (Ataribox) games laked.

The Atari VCS, formerly known Ataribox, will come pre-loaded with a bunch of classic Atari 2600 games. A list of Atari VCS games has surfaced that are supposedly already rated.

The leaked list includes the classic games Pac-Man, Xevious, River Raid, Pressure Cooker, Kaboom!, Galaxian, H.E.R.O and Dig Dug. The list of games got revealed by @Pixelpar, known for video game leaks.

Pixelpar expects that the game line-up reveal, release date, and preorder date for the Atari VCS will happen very soon. Atari has announced the final name for the new retro console last month and exhibited the current prototype at the GDC 2018.

The Atari VCS runs on a custom AMD CPU and will be open. This means that you will be able to run other games than the ones Atari decides to bundle with the Atari VCS. You will be able to play retro Atari games as well as PC games.

The communicated price-range is between $250 and $300. Initially, the release was planned for Spring 2018. As Atari is still in the prototype stage, a release is likely in time for the Holiday season 2018. Atari will announce the pre-order date for the Atari VCS in April. The pre-order for the Atari VCS will be through a crowd-funding campaign as initially planned.

We expect that the NES Classic 2018 release is happening before the Atari VCS. Nintendo has still not announced any specific release date. The 2018 NES Classic is supposed to ship this summer.
