Apple Music Gets New VP as Service Hits 40 Million Subscribers

New Apple Music Vice President Named after the Service exceeds 40 Million Users

Apple Music is beginning to make plans for the future as its subscribers have flocked to the service. Right now well over 40 million subscribers frequent the site.

This day in time, the high tech firm announced that Oliver Schusser will be its new music head. He happens to be the new vice president for the service.

He used to handle strategies outside the USA for App Stores, iTunes, films, television portals and iBooks not to mention podcasts. Another Apple boss hired Schusser more than a dozen years ago. This person announced Schusser’s promotion to vice president of Apple Music today.

Schusser will be shifting his home base from London to California. He will spend his day at his career moving between the Cupertino headquarters and the Culver City offices.

During his time in the UK, he helped in the acquisition of Shazam. According to, his vacant post will be taken up by Tracey Hannelly. She became a member of Apple’s large family of executives sometime in 2007.

The appointment of Apple’s music head comes at a time when the music service is the site of 40 million subscribers. This is quite an achievement for Apple.
