Square Enix Confirms PS4 Edition of Dragon Quest XI Coming to Nintendo Switch. And Square Enix Also Explains Lack of Dragon Quest XI 3DS Version.

It has been ages since Square Enix has kept the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age a source of suspense.

Now though, a release for PS4 and PC has been announced by the company. The arrival of this game on the Switch thus cannot be far behind.

Basically, what makes Dragon Quest XI so interesting is its PS4 version, according to a report by DualShockers. Whether the port will be bear a resemblance to it remains an unknown piece of information. This is so especially in regard to the revolutionary 3DS type.

This question was put to the producer of the game. He replied that the Switch version will use the PS4 basics. As for the 3DS version, it will not be headed to the Free World anytime soon.

There is a reason for that. Dragon Quest XI comprises of three decades of gaming tradition. While the fans of the game do enjoy playing it, newcomers are most welcome.

Introducing the game to the outside world would benefit greatly from a PS4 and Steam version. Yet all this will take time. It will not happen in record time.

For a long time, the SDK of the game for the Switch platform remained unfinished business. Now that it is complete and ready to be put into action, a Switch version lies in the cards.

Unreal Engine 4 is a game that ran on the Switch console. It prevented this upcoming game from entering Switch territory. However, such hindrances no longer remain and so the way has been cleared for Dragon Quest XI.

Square Enix has declared this game to be a ton of fun. Thus the Switch version meant for the West still lies in the pipeline and that is the way things are for now.
