Amazon’s Membership of Paid Prime Clientele Exceeds 100 Million

Jeff Bezos is in a good mood nowadays. 100 million is the watchword for him. This is the number of Prime customers of Amazon. Amazon has in fact overtaken this figure.

That is more than a dozen years after the free shipments service began operations. It hardly comes as a surprise despite the price hikes which went into action recently.

The firm has added some incentives on top of the plan. Among the things available may be included: music, video clips, Kindle books and a half yearly subscription to the Washington Post.

Also, Whole Foods deals will be added to the list of services. Amazon managed to make shipments of five billion items with its Prime service a year ago.

India is one of the most recent countries to enter the list of Amazon markets. It has huge potential to prove to be a profitable venture for Amazon. In fact, there will probably be more members of Amazon’s services in India than there have been in its entire history.

Among the things the company has done in India include the funneling of investments into it, the launch of a music service for its people and the debut of a “lite” version of the Android web browser.
