2018 Ford F-150 Power Stroke Diesel Gets 30 Mpg on the Highway
The 2018 Ford F-150 Truck officially boasts EPA-estimated ratings of 30 mpg highway, 22 mpg city and 25 mpg combined. And all these are the highest EPA-estimated ratings available in a full-size pickup truck.

2018 Ford F-150’s First 3.0-liter Power Stroke Diesel Engine Gets Highest 30 Mpg Rating on the Highway.

It has been 365 days since the 2018 Ford F-150 debuted at the Detroit Auto Show. Although the gasoline-powered variations have been road-tested, information regarding the yet-to-come diesel model is hard to come by.

What we do know is that the super truck has a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine beneath its bonnet. It will have 250 hp in its capacity to lend drive to the experience of operating it. Also, 440 pounds-feet of torque exists in its functional makeup.

The fuel economy facts were only revealed recently. The novel engine will bag the truck 30 mpg on the highway, 22 mpg in the city and a combined rating of 25 mpg.

This happens to be much better than the by now obsolete Ram 1500 EcoDiesel’s 27 mpg highway rating. That is 19 mpg and a combined rating of 22 mpg.

A novel EcoDiesel is ready to be churned out for the 2019 Ram 1500. This will show a greater capacity than the one which is obsolete by now. As for the Chevy Silverado, it too is getting a diesel yet we have very little information regarding it for now.

While the F-150 has an efficient fuel economy, its capacity to tug heavy loads amounts to 11,400 pounds. Also, a 1940 pounds payload rating exists among its salient qualities. Most other trucks meant for trade purposes that are stripped of their extra baggage can carry 2020 payload of poundage.

The 2018 Ford F-150 with an all-new 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine will start shipping to dealers this May.
