New Apple Filings Hint Towards Apple iPhone SE 2 Launch

Recently a Russian-language filing with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has been discovered which has given hints towards the release of new iPhone models. Thanks to the French site Consomac for discovering this regulatory filing which points towards Apple planning to release some new iPhone models in the coming years.

Apple sticks to model numbers for all its models which are unleashed in pubic. Apple’s most recent flagship, the iPhone X, also comes with multiple model numbers of A1865, A1901, and A1902. These models belong to the same phone but there are slight variations in these models due to the various countries these are shipped to.

With this regulatory filing we have a list of new models coming in which Apple might be releasing in near future. These model numbers include A1920, A1921, A1984, A2097, A2098, A2099, A2101, A2103, A2104, A2105, and A2106. These models don’t match with any of the models which are currently running under Apple’s domain. This clearly indicates that Apple is planning to launch some new models in the Eurasian market.

The published EEC filing is clearly in place to satisfy the demands placed on manufacturers by the Russian authorities to register all devices which contain or offer encryption or cryptographic toolsets. After knowing how well the data security is on Apple devices, we would certainly want it to be registered in order to satisfy the government regulations for the particular region.

The EEC database has hardly ever disappointed us and it has proven to be quite reliable when it comes to the uncovering of new devices. The 9.7 inch iPad 6 was also uncovered by an EEC filing which gives us all the more reason to believe that this one is not going to prove us wrong.
