F8.com is down: Here is How to Watch the Live Stream of F8 Keynote

The Facebook F8 developer site is down.

Mark Zuckerberg kicked off the F8 2018 Facebook developer conference at 10 am PDT with his keynote. To watch the live stream you have to go to the facebook.com site as f8.com is down.

You can watch Zuckerberg address the privacy scandal on the live stream now at facebook.com.

The privacy scandal around the stolen data of millions of Facebook users is overshadowing this year's event and Zuckerberg is not avoiding it. It's the main topic of his keynote besides fake news.

As he is so focused on the privacy issues, he might now even do the expected Oculus Go announcement himself.

The new $199 Oculus Go stand-alone VR headset just went up for pre-order on Amazon hours ahead of the F8. Facebook is expected to reveal the missing details about their affordable stand-alone virtual reality headset. Especially the release date for the Oculus Go will be of interest. Amazon does take pre-orders, but has not revealed the shipping date.

The schedule for the F8 lists an event on Tuesday at 1 pm PDT titled "The Year Ahead in VR." This will be the event to watch for virtual reality news. You can watch the F8 2018 keynote and sessions on the Facebook F8 site. You just need to sign-up with your name and email address. The live F8 stream is available here.

Augmented and Virtual reality is a huge topic at the F8 2018 and a welcome distraction from Facebook's big problems. There are many sessions for the developer community on how to apply Facebook's new developments in VR and AR.

Zuckerberg will have his hands full to give its app developers a new perspective after the data-sharing scandal. The social media giant also needs to offers publishers a perspective going forward after the big changes in the news.

The F8 2018 is going to be an important event not just for Facebook developers, but also for Facebook users. This F8 is important for the future direction of Facebook. Zuckerberg needs to put the huge image damaging scandal behind him and his company as fast as possible.
