Sony has announced that they will be focusing on four games instead of hardware for PS4 this E3 2018

The E3 2018 is approaching fast. This is the time when game development companies and hardware companies are making announcements to attract the crowds. Sony is among these companies as they are expected to make some big announcements about PS4.

Sony has already laid out their PlayStation plans for the E3 2018. Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shawn Layden spoke on the PlayStation Blogcast.

He said that this year, PlayStation will not be having a ‘traditional’ press conference. He said that this E3, they are going to be concentrating on featuring "exclusive looks and deep dives on four" upcoming titles.

Layden went on to elaborate the titles and what they have in store for each. He started with Death Stranding, for which they have a "complete new report for everybody about what is happening around that title."

The next was Ghost of Tsushima for which they will offer "deep dive" into the game. The third title is Spider-Man for which "a new drop" is indicated.

We think it will most likely be a new trailer. The Last of Us Part 2 will have "a full new scope and treatment to show progress on the game and give people a better understanding of where we're going with Part 2."

Other than these titles, the press conference will also include announcements with third-party publishing partners and games from indie developers. Layden specifically mentioned that hardware for PS4 will not be featured in E3 2018.

He said that the sole focus is game titles this year. Sony's E3 2018 press conference is set for June 11 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET / 2 AM (June 12) BST which will be streamed Live from Los Angeles, California on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube via PlayStation's website.
