Apple is Looking into Other Regions in the USA for its Novel Office Premises

Since the last few months, Apple has been busy exploring various states and regions in a bid to find space for its new campus. Spots in North Carolina and Northern Virginia have been specially found to be favorable to the high tech firm.

The campus may have space for over 20,000 personnel. This means that 20,000 new jobs will be created by Apple which is indeed a good thing for the US economy.

Apple is keeping the plot of land in Research Triangle Park in mind. This is situated in North Carolina and is spread out over 22 million square feet. This area is North Carolina’s main technology nexus.

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook held meetings with the governor of the state, Roy Cooper as well as with the commerce secretary, Tony Copeland. He delivered a speech at Duke University which is located in the region.

In January of this year, Apple made a promise that it would make an investment of $350 billion in the US economy. This would be accomplished by making room for 20,000 jobs over the next half a decade or so.

This campus will be the fourth one for Apple. Apple is keeping all its options open. The new campuses will not be anything like the previous ones.

Tim Cook also announced that it would not be copying Amazon’s style of choosing its new office premises. Apple has a style of its own of which it is proud. Rabid competition and selection were things from which it chose to stay away.
