Fortnite: Battle Royale Adds New Solo Showdown Limited Time Mode
  • Epic Initiates Limited Time Mode Solo Showdown for Fortnite for Competitive Gamers

Epic launches a Limited Time Mode called Solo Showdown in Fortnite so the more competitive gamers a chance to keep score

If you are a very competitive person and you want to get a chance to get a clear picture of where you stand in the Fortnite Battle Royale, you have a chance.

Just cancel all the programs for the weekend because Epic has introduced a Limited Time Mode in Solo Showdown. The Solo Showdown will feature all the characteristics of any Solo game mode.

What’s the catch?

This time, they are going to keep score. You must compete in at least 50 matches of the Solo Showdown mode. The cumulative scores from these 50 matches will be considered to keep any players from taking the shortcut.

The players who have competed in 50 matches will unlock a unique spray. It’s a nice reward even if you don’t win the V-Buck prize. The big reward of the game mode is V-Bucks-the game's currency for cosmetic items.

The best player will win 50,000 V-Bucks. The next top-100 finishers will claim virtual prizes too. Buying 1,000 V-Bucks costs $10. The game rewards have been announced as well.

2nd to 4th place will win 25,000 V-Bucks, players from 5th to 50th place will win 13,500 V-Bucks and 51st to 100th place can claim 7,500 V-Bucks. So, the prizes are worth playing for.

Epic announced that the purpose of launching this mode is just the first step in helping it learn “how to build great events for all types of players”.

Epic also announced that they have “a major announcement about competitive play next week.” For now, the Solo Showdown is live and will stay up until Monday, May 21, at 10 a.m. ET.
