The 1967 GT500 Super Snake is again produced by Shelby American as a Continuation Model. But only an exclusive run of just 10 Limited edition cars will be available at starting price of $249,995. During an event at Shelby's Southern California HQ, the company also unveiled a new ultra-lightweight Series 2 roadster supercar.

Shelby has decided to continue the production of its 1967 Ford GT500 Super Snake. For now, ten units will be manufactured in memory of the muscle vehicle’s original makers, Carroll Shelby and Don McCain.

Shelby also launched a featherweight Series 2 supercar at a happening event in the South of California. This vehicle had a drive that amounted to 800 hp which seems unbelievable.

The Super Snake is however of greater human interest to many car enthusiasts. It has a chunky V8 engine. This was inspirationally stolen from the Ford GT40 MkII racing car.

The car began being churned out in 1967 and its tires were tested by Goodyear which is a well-known brand. Its engine caused the horsepower capacity to shoot up by 520 units.

Also, heavy-duty front disc brakes, a special backside, back traction units, Thunderbolt tires and a revamped grille existed on the vehicle. The last one was meant to improve the cooling capacity of this car.

McCain desired to do a 50 car run of this muscle car. Yet this idea was dumped since it would have been too costly. Recently, McCain once more took up the project of completing this unfinished business.

Ten dash plates were signed in the process. Carroll Shelby meanwhile passed away. A second car had not been built until the present moment in time though. The singular Super Snake sold for $1.3 million on the auctioneer’s block.

The new form of this vehicle borrows from the Mustang. It will be customized in accordance with the clientele’s demands and sell for $249,995.

Meanwhile, the Series 2 is a convertible. It is a novel version of the Series 1. This car is 12% less heavy and has everything going for it. As a unique vehicle, it contains carbon fiber seats and has a body made of aluminum.
