Honda Considers Taking its Civic Type R Pickup Truck to Nurburgring

The Race Track titled Nurburgring may witness the Honda Civic Type R Pickup Concept

The Honda Civic Type R is a very pragmatic vehicle with a whole lot of storage space. This space is especially wider when the rear seats are taken down. However, the engineers want to begin a new venture via some inspiration from this car.

They want to ensure the Project P which is a concept version of a Type R pickup truck. Most of the upper portion of the Civic Type R was jettisoned by the technicians. Then they replaced it with roll bars and a metallic bed.

However, the giant wing at the rear side remained extant. It was a case of love’s labor for the engineers who engaged in some overtime in order to accomplish this task. This vehicle has a 2.0 liter inline four engine.

It has 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission system lies at the base. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 6 seconds flat. The topmost speed happens to be 165 mph.

The engineers who made this vehicle want to test it on the most famous racing track. Thus they plan to take the concept car to the Nurburgring. However, the car is not for sale.

Honda has mentioned this much that this vehicle is not going into production anytime soon. Yet the future may prove this decision taken by Honda’s top brass to actually be reversed. You never know since change is the law of life.
