Renders of an Apple IPhone boasting a 6.5 inch screen are leaked

Apple is expected to roll out multiple iPhones in 2018 and press renders of the next big thing of iPhone X (iPhone XS) are circulating on the web.

Apple is expected to roll out multiple iPhones in 2018 in its hardware event that is to be held most probably in September. Thanks to OnLeaks, press renders of the next big thing of iPhone X (iPhone XS) are circulating on the web. Following the renders, the shape of new iPhone is not so different than the current iPhone X. The rear camera with dual-sensor is placed just like the iPhone X but with a slight bulge. Nevertheless, the new iPhone is expected to boast a 6.5-inch OLED display panel - that means much larger display than the current 5.8-inch.

The iconic notch that is used in almost every phone nowadays is still there with the same function and form. It would be surrounding the front-facing camera including all the range of sensors and the face recognition. The face of the iPhone is near to bezel less. Apple’s most cherished fingerprint-based biometric security, TouchID, is rather missing with FaceID being way ahead.

As per the leaked renders, the dimensions are expected to be a 6.5-inch iPhone with a body that is 7.7mm thick, 157.5mm tall and 77.4mm wide. These are the guessed dimensions as of now. The upcoming iPhones are to include a custom A12 SoC with a current generation A11 Bionic chipset. While the leaked renders doesn’t depict a three camera layer at the rear, this change is still expected with the current smartphone trend going the three camera way.

Apple may call this 6.5-inch flagship variant “iPhone X Plus” with a price tag of over $1000. Apple is expected to introduce a successor of iPhone SE and the company is anticipated to introduce a budget version of iPhone X too. All of these moves will ultimately help Apple in expanding its device sales in the upcoming potential economies.
