Kia takes Back Half a Million Cars due to Airbag Issues which Caused Four Fatal Accidents

Kia Motors is recalling about half a million vehicles in the USA. An investigation is underway into four deaths of drivers in its vehicles. The airbags just wouldn’t blow up leading to fatalities that could have been averted. The car company is ultimately answerable for this lapse in car technology.

The NHTSA led a probe into why four Kia vehicles failed to have blown up airbags during serious crashes. Also there were half a dozen people who were injured by such a failure of the airbags to blow up.

Hyundai Motors is also facing investigations since it too had faulty vehicles. Both Kia Motors and Hyundai Motors have recalled a total of 1.1 million vehicles to redress this wrong on their part.

Kia wants to recall its Fortes, Optimas, Optima Hybrid and Sedona cars. The issue seems to be a short circuit in the airbags which causes them to go inert.

The electric load may have been too much. The company does not have a solution to this problem for now but has promised that it will do all it can to address the grievances of its valued clientele.
