Ford takes Back Many of its Pickup Trucks and SUVs for Defects in their Fuel Pumps. Ford Recalls 7500 F-150s, Expeditions, and Navigators.
Both Ford and Lincoln are busy collecting some of their pickup trucks and SUVs for repairs. The F-150 pickups and Expedition and Navigator SUVs have issues with their fuel pump assembly systems. The problem happens to be the out-of-joint welds which could lead to a leakage or two.
This spells out the danger in loud and clear words. While there have not been any mishaps or loss of life or limb due to these faults, it is better to remain on the safe side. That is why both Ford and Lincoln have recalled these vehicles for adjustments in their defective parts.
From the 7580 trucks and SUVs, 5645 were specifically for the US market alone while 1625 were meant for Canada. Merely 310 were for Mexico. The welds were made of weak materials and were misaligned to boot.
This could cause them to rupture or crack under pressure. The spilled fuel may start a fire so caution was the watchword for Ford and Lincoln. The repairs will be done free of cost and the owners of the pickup trucks and SUVs will not have to spend a single cent.
