Hot Father's Day Gift: Ekster Parliament Crowd GPS Tracked Smart Wallet Review

Don't forget, Father's Day 2018 is this Sunday on June 17.

If your father is into finer things and gadgets, the Ekster Parliament smart wallet is an ideal Father's Day gift. The Ekster Parliament and Tracker is a leather smart wallet with crowd GPS, in case the wallet gets lost or stolen.

The extremely compact wallet offers room for at least 9 cards and cash. With the RFID card inside you still, have space for 6 cards. The tracking is done via a solar-powered Tracker Card that can be inserted into the wallet. This ultra-slim tracker needs about 3 hours of sunlight to last a full month and allows you to ring your phone or wallet as well as track it on a map.

For the wallet tracking, Ekster partners with the TrackR app. To enable tracking of the Ekster Parliament wallet, I downloaded the free TrackR app on my iPhone. After registration with name and email address, I selected Ekster wallets under "Works with TrackR." I gave the wallet a name and then the app pairs with the tracker card.

After that quick setup, I could ring the wallet and show its location on the map. The wallet makes a sound, which is great to find the wallet around the house.

The smartness of the Ekster wallet does not end with tracking. There is a smart sliding mechanism for your cards inside the Ekster Parliament. With a push of the card slider trigger, all your cards in the compartment come out on top neatly organized. You just grab the edge of the one you need and pull it out.

The mechanism is almost as addictive as a fidget toy or Zippo lighter. The leather of the Ekster Parliament wallet has a very nice feel to it and has high-quality stitching. Ekster says they source only premium Dutch and German top-grain leathers and their tanneries serve only top-of-the-line luxury leather brands.

The Ekster Parliament is on sale for $99 (reg. $119) online at the Ekster online shop.
