Airtame Wireless Screen Mirroring Device for Pros and Businesses Review

This is not a consumer gadget, Airtame is an enterprise-grade video streaming device.

The tiny Airtame Wireless HDMI adapter is packed with technology and supported by an app and cloud services to enable robust screen mirroring of business use.

The basic function of mirroring a PC, laptop or mobile device screen can be accomplished with a Google Chromecast or Apple TV, but Airtame has been optimized and adapted for professional use in businesses or educational institutions.

To test the Airtame wireless HDMI adapter I plugged into my Toshiba HD TV in my living room. I installed the Airtame app for Mac and followed the instructions to quickly configure the Airtame on my local Wi-fi. Airtame is compatible with Apple's AirPlay, but I wanted to test their app and play around with its features. The app is designed to manage more than one Airtame.

This is one of the major differences between Airtame and consumer wireless mirroring solutions. The Airtame software supports to manage the Airtame devices across all conference rooms of a company. There is also a cloud-based solution to manage Airtame across multiple company office locations.

The Airtame team is especially highlighting the ability to work with WPA2 Enterprise networks and for networks with two separate networks. Company networks tend to be more complicated and an Apple TV or Google Chromecast can't handle that.

In my testing, the streaming of my MacBook Pro to the TV worked flawlessly. Airtame intentionally streams with a 1s delay to make sure the stream is stable and in sync with the audio at all times. If you stream without audio, Airtame does not delay streaming.

The Airtame can be powered with the included AC adapter or directly from a TV with the micro USB cable. If Wi-fi is no option, the Airtame can be configured to use an Ethernet connection.

The Airtame comes with a special presentation app for mobile devices that make it easier to show slideshows on Airtame connected displays. Another powerful feature for companies is to use the Airtame solution for digital signage. While a display is not in use for a presentation, it can be easily used a digital signage.

Just connect Airtame to your WiFi and choose your dashboard or website. You can visualize current sales trends or rotate through news or other content. Overall the Airtame is a very well rounded solution. Everything from the hardware to the software is very polished. The company has a friendly and competent support, which is also an essential aspect of an enterprise solution. We can highly recommend Airtame as wireless screen mirroring solution for your business.

Airtame sells for $298.99 on amazon.com. Find out more about Airtame on the Airtame company site. There you also can buy Airtame adapter in bulk at reduced rates.
