E3 2018 Most Tweeted Topic were Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

E3 Twitter Posts show Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as Highly Popular

The E3 event has been an interesting ride this year. This is especially so for Nintendo. Many big shot games got displayed before a swooning audience of avid gamers. Yet there were not too many surprises and in some areas, there were letdowns as well.

Animal Crossing remained a moot point. Also, Metroid Prime 4 and Yoshi left a lot to the imagination of the crowd of otherwise fervid gamers. Yet as Twitter showed, Nintendo still remains way up there in the stratosphere as regards its popularity and likeability quotient.

Over 15 million tweets got sent about the Expo event. The majority of these occurred during the occurrence of the Nintendo Direct. These amounted to a whopping 890,000.

The list of topics consisted of Nintendo, Xbox, Super Smash Bros, Fallout, Playstation, Kingdom Hearts, Ubisoft, Elder Scrolls, Death Stranding and Fortnite. Some of these games ended up high on the list. Especially Super Smash Bros.

Ultimate remained at #1. As for the nations whose inhabitants sent the most tweets, they consisted of the USA, Japan, the UK, Spain, and France. Other highlights that got discussed on Twitter included the release date for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and a new character’s addition to it.
