Tesla launches New Paid Premium Connectivity Package for in-Car Internet Access in its New Series of Cars Starting 1st July, 2018

Net facility has been a fundamental part and parcel of Tesla’s cars since the introduction of the Model S about half a dozen years ago. Elon Musk has overseen the cellular connectivity in his company’s vehicles in order to allow Net amenity, live traffic cartography and data flow.

Also Autopilot facility and software revamping are part of the deal. The standard things found in Tesla’s vehicles are often taken for granted by drivers of the luxury brand. Now a novel thing has appeared on the horizon.

Tesla is about to offer a premium paid connectivity package in its fleet of vehicles. These will lead to an access to Internet facility which is indeed a boon. When the Model S came out in 2012, everybody was surprised that it contained free Net facility.

Then two years later, the Tesla bosses announced that this Net facility would be available for only four more years. Now though it is a different scenario we find ourselves in.

Those who have purchased a Model S, Model X or Model 3 before the 1st of July will not have to pay a single cent for the Net connectivity in their vehicles.

Tesla plans to offer two types of the deal: a Premium Connectivity Package and a Standard Connectivity Package, according to a report by Electrek.

Maps and navigation facilities are the main plus points of these packages. Wi-Fi will be installed in the vehicles. Also LTE connections are in the mix somewhere. Ultimately the benefits accrue to Tesla Motors for this ultra-modernistic approach.
