Shenmue and Shenmue 2 are Re-Releasing on August 21
  • SEGA offers Return of the Shenmue After the Recent Delay

SEGA is bringing back the first two installments of Shenmue after the delay in the release of the third installment. Shenmue I and Shenmue II remasters are coming out for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on August 21, 2018.

The third chapter in the Shenmue saga was anticipated to come out this year. The announcement was expected at the E3 2018. However, SEGA has announced that the third chapter will not be up for release until 2019.

While it is frustrating for fans, they have a chance to experience what Shenmue is all about along with newcomers. You know how we watch all the previous movies in a series before a new part is up for release or how you binge-watch the previous seasons before a new season is set to premiere.

That is the idea that SEGA might be following. They announced that they will be re-releasing the first two games for various gaming consoles including Xbox, PS4, and PC. Shenmue I and II have been announced for re-release on PS4, Xbox One and Steam on August 21st.

Fans and curious gamers can pre-order the games as pre-orders are now open. The console editions of Ryo Hazuki's revenge story are getting physical copies, with a double-sided poster tucked into the case.

SEGA is also making various updates which include a better user interface, the players can choose to play the game with either English or Japanese voiceovers.

The fans could look at what they can expect from the high-definition re-release in a new trailer. So if you are a fan of the game, you might find some joy in playing the game in high definition before you can play the third chapter.
