EU Daylight Saving Time Poll Does Not Work

EU's polling servers are down.

Let me start with this. I hate the freaking daylight saving time. I don't want to adjust my life twice a year, because of some outdated idea. When I heard the first time that the EU is considering to end Daylight Saving Time, I didn't have much hope as the discussion has been going on for decades and nothing happened. Now there is movement. The EU is inviting its citizens to fill out a survey about Daylight Savings Time.

"The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the clock changes that occur twice a year to cater for the changing patterns of daylight (EU summertime directive). European citizens and stakeholders are invited to share their views on the matter by filling-in this online questionnaire (available in all EU languages) by 16 August. This consultation is part of an assessment of the EU summertime directive, which the Commission has recently launched to evaluate whether or not the rules should be changed. This follows the vote by the European Parliament of a resolution on summertime in February 2018, as well as requests from citizens and certain EU Member States."

Since yesterday, I try to fill out this poll, but the server is either completely down, only a blank page loads or the poll form loads incomplete without content. See screenshot in the gallery.

I have contacted the European Commission via email to get information when the EU Daylight Saving Time Poll is actually working. The interest in the survey is apparently very high.

Updates:

July 7: The survey site is still down. Incredible. This is why Facebook, Google, etc. are not European companies. Europe sucks at doing Internet. The web was invented in Europe, but they lost it. The survey is supposed to be open until August.

The EC has responded to our inquiry: "The system is experiencing some difficulties, due to the high number of access. Please try again later." This means that the server is indeed overloaded because so many Europeans are interested in ending Daylight Saving Time. It also means that the EU is an online imbecile.

I strongly believe most people are sick of the Daylight Saving Time. Just cancel it now and save us the trouble of filling out the survey.
