Has Prime Day 2018 Run its Course? Nobody Talks about the Prime Day Deals

Yesterday #PrimeDay was trending on Twitter. Today nothing.

Amazon's Prime Day 2018 deals are not the problem. The Amazon Prime Day deals are extremely attractive this year. We identified the best 13 Prime Day 2018 deals that save you 50% or more. Check out also our just-released massive one-stop Top 100 Amazon Prime Day 2018 Deals list. There is just no conversation taking place about Prime Day.

The media covers Prime Day like crazy, but there is almost nothing from consumers on social media. Yesterday #PrimeDay was among the top trending hashtags on Twitter even before Prime Day began. Five minutes into Prime Day, #PrimeDay was the #1 hashtag for the wrong reasons. Amazon's servers failed to take the momentum out of Prime Day.

Amazon insists that they still made more sales than last year in the first hours. Something seems to be off though as today the hype for Prime Day is gone. There are no Prime Day deals that Prime members are searching for. It's just quite. I'm sure Amazon will announce a new record, but if they do, it could have been more, much more.

Hype drives sales and deals can go viral. Nothing of that matter happens today on the actual Prime Day 2018. It's just sailing on the calm water today.

Make sure to visit our real-time Prime Day 2018 deals tracker to not miss the hottest deals today and tomorrow. We will continuously update the deals tracker with hot new deals that Amazon is releasing.

This is the fourth annual Prime Day. Maybe the concept of making the sale a 36-hour event was not such a great idea. The outage anyway made Prime Day more or less as long as last year.
