Brainwavz M2 IEM Noise Isolating Earphones Review

Read our hands-on take on the Brainwavz M2 IEM Noise Isolating earbuds.

This year we reviewed already a bunch of wireless earbuds including the great Padmate X13-PAMU Wireless Earbuds. In this review, we take a step back again from the cutting edge of wearable technology and try out newly wired earbuds from Brainwavz. The Brainwavz M2 IEM promises noise isolating and great sound.

The all-metal in-ear stereo earphones make a great first impression packaged in a stylish hard case. The build quality is excellent. In contrast to Apple's wired earbuds, the Brainwavz M2 uses a stiffer cable, especially the sections until the split are thin and stiff. The benefit is that the cable is not that easily tangling up. The stiffer cables feel sometimes not as comfortable compared to the soft iPhone headset cables.

I got the best results for noise isolation, fit and sound quality with the foam tips. The fitting of earbuds is an essential step to get the most out of the product. A wrong fit will result in bad sound quality. I tested these Brainwavz earphones on an iPhone 7 Plus with a Lightning port adapter.

For those who do not want to deal with charging wireless earbuds, the Brainwavz M2 IEM Noise Isolating Earphones are a recommendable choice in the wired earphone segment. They are very lightweight and deliver great sound. Brainwavz sells the headphones directly on for $59.50.

The Brainwavz M2 earbuds are also sold on, but at a higher price at the moment.

The Brainwavz M2 earphones are made of silver oxygen which is lightweight and durable. To ensure the protection of the earphones, the product comes with an earphone hard case and a warranty card (24 months). The M2 earbuds come with 6 silicone earphone tips, 1 set of Comply Foam Tips and 1 set of Silicone Bi-Flange Tips. In addition, the earphones come with a shirt clip, a Velcro cable tie, and an instruction manual.
