Your Huawei Smartphone will become Faster

Huawei will enable performance mode on its smartphones.

Huawei got caught cheating at 3DMark benchmarks last week. Now the company issued a statement blaming its AI for switching into a secret performance mode during benchmark tests. Huawei and UL, the makers of 3DMark, have come to an understanding that Huawei needs to allow users to enable this performance mode.

Huawei will provide users with open access to “Performance Mode” in EMUI 9.0, so that the user can choose when to use the maximum power of their device. Until this feature is not released, 3DMark benchmarks of Huawei smartphones are not listed on 3DMark.

If you own a recent Huawei phone like the P20 or P20 Pro, this is great news. Your device will become faster. Just make sure you have a power bank with you while using it.

The Chinese tech giant sold 10 million Huawei P20 Pro and P20 units globally as of August 31. The unlocked Huawei P20 Pro is on sale at as well as the more affordable unlocked Huawei P20.
