How to Find the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr for Pre-order and in Stock

The new iPhones for 2018 will be unveiled on September 12.

Apple is set to unveil three new iPhones on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 10 am PT. The Apple rumor mill talks about the iPhone Xs (direct successor of iPhone X) and iPhone Xs Max (largest iPhone ever with a 6.5-inch screen), both featuring an OLED display. The 3rd new iPhone is likely called iPhone Xr and still has an LCD screen. It's the most affordable new iPhone with a 6.1-inch screen and multiple color options.

Update 2: Sam's Club reveals iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max gift card deal. The warehouse club starts to take pre-orders at 2 am CT.

Update 1: As expected, the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max will be up for pre-order this Friday, September 14 at 12:01 am PT and ship a week later. The new iPhone Xr will be up for pre-order on October 19 and in stores beginning Friday, October 26.

Last year Apple started to take pre-orders for the new iPhone 8 right away on Friday following the Apple Event. The iPhone X pre-order began much later on October 27 and pushed delivery into November. This year we expect that Apple will set the pre-order date for the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr all to Friday, September 14.

The pre-order date will only be later for any of the new 2018 iPhones if Apple has encountered a manufacturing issue. There are no reports though about a shortage of parts or anything related.

The iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr will be available for pre-order directly from Apple on the Apple.com site and in the Apple Store app. It's wise to use the Apple Store app to place the pre-order to avoid potential issues with Apple's online shop.

Besides from Apple, you will be able to pre-order the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr from your favorite carrier. T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon will even come up with deals and incentives to place your pre-order of the new iPhones with them.

The third venue to place pre-orders for the new 2018 iPhones is at retailers most notably Walmart, Target and Best Buy. The retailer offered substantial deals for the iPhone pre-orders last year with up to $300 in savings.
