2018 Amazon Devices Include Microwave, Subwoofer and Car Device

A report claims that Amazon will release 8 new Alexa devices this Holiday season.

Amazon is offering Black Friday prices on Amazon devices exclusively to Prime members since yesterday. This is a first sign that Amazon is getting ready for new devices and a new CNBC report fits right into the picture. According to the report, Amazon plans to introduce 8 new Alexa-enabled devices still this year.

The new 2018 Amazon devices include according to a CNBC source a microwave oven, an amplifier, a receiver, a subwoofer, and an in-car device. Alexa is already on home devices through Amazon's hardware partner program. Now Amazon will apparently get into direct competition with a more diverse Alexa-enabled line-up.

Amazon is leading the voice assistant market and is doubling down on the devices that bring Alexa everywhere. Besides new hardware, an upgrade to Alexa could be in the cards as well. I wish for Alexa getting a memory. She should know that I always listen to the same radio station. Why not offer to play it for me right away?

If you are a Prime member you can put your membership to work with up to $40 in saving on Kindle and Fire TV.
