Hottest Holidays 2018 Console Pre-orders: PlayStation Classic, Nintendo Switch Fortnite Bundle, and Nintendo Switch Let's Go Bundles

New video game hardware is available now.

Sony and Nintendo revealed new hot video game hardware ahead of the Holiday shopping season. It's September and most consumers are not thinking about the Holidays yet and about Holiday gifts. Now is the time to secure popular gifts that notoriously sell out when the Holiday shopping season arrives in November.

Sony surprised this week with the announcement of the PlayStation Classic console. The new Sony PlayStation is copying Nintendo's Classic releases of the NES and Super NES. Sony is even adopting the "Classic" moniker. The $99.99 PlayStation Classic packs 20 popular PlayStation games and comes with two controllers. The Sony PS Classic mini console ships December 3 and is now available for pre-order at Amazon and others.

Also announced this week got the new $299.99 Nintendo Switch Fortnite Double Helix Bundle. Young Fortnite fans will be blown away finding a Nintendo Switch Fortnite bundle under their Christmas tree. The Nintendo Switch Fortnite Double Helix Bundle includes a Nintendo Switch system, 1,000 V-bucks (in-game Fortnite currency) and the Double Helix Set, consisting of a unique Character Outfit, Back Bling, Glider, and Pickaxe. The included V-Bucks can be used to purchase a Battle Pass, which unlocks additional in-game content, or can be used to purchase other in-game items.

The Fortnite Switch bundle will ship on October 5. You can pre-order the popular new Nintendo Switch at GameStop.
