Echo Auto Pre-order Launched

Amazon lets you take Alexa into your car with Echo Auto.

Amazon announced today Echo Auto, a small device that lets you take Alexa with you into your car. Echo Auto is only $24.99. This the good news. The bad news is that you get Echo Auto only upon invitation. Show your interest in Echo Auto now on amazon.com to be one of the first to own Echo Auto.

With Echo Auto you can just ask Alexa to play music, resume your Audible book, check your calendar, find nearby businesses, make calls, and more. With eight microphones, Echo Auto even hears you over road noise. Echo Auto starts up in seconds, works through your car speakers, and uses your existing smartphone plan.

With location-based features, Echo Auto helps you get to where you’re going. Just ask for directions and Alexa connects to supported apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze on your phone. You can also ask Alexa to find nearby gas stations, check traffic, and more.

No more fiddling with your phone or radio—just ask Alexa to play a song, genre, artist, or station from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, and more. With Audible, listen to the world’s largest library of audiobooks and take the story with you anytime, anywhere. Plus, stream podcasts, get news briefings, or keep the whole car entertained with games like Jeopardy!, 20 Questions, and more.

Echo Auto works with thousands of compatible smart home devices so you can manage your household on the go. In a rush to get to work? Ask Alexa to turn off the lights or turn down the thermostat from your car.

Or set up smart home routines that automatically start when you pull in the driveway. Find out more about Echo Auto on amazon.com. This is quite a lot of functionality for $24.99. The regular price of Echo Auto will be $49.99, but those who get invited to buy only pay $24.99.

Amazon launched today Echo Sub and Echo Dot Gen 3. Both new Amazon devices are available for pre-order now and ship October 11.
