Is Nintendo Done Announcing new Console Hardware for Holidays 2018?

Nintendo revealed four new Nintendo Switch bundles for the Holidays so far.

Has Nintendo more video game console hardware in the pipeline for the Holidays 2018? In the past weeks, the Japanese video game maker revealed four new Nintendo Switch bundles.

Update: On October 15, Nintendo unveiled yet another special Nintendo Switch console bundle. The Diablo III Nintendo Switch bundle will be released on November 2.

This could already be the final line-up of Nintendo hardware for the Holidays unless there is a surprise. Nintendo has so far not made any hints on releasing again a retro console for the Holidays as the company did the past two years with the NES Classic and the SNES Classic. The logical next retro console would be the N64 Classic.

Besides trademarks that surfaced last year, there is no evidence that Nintendo will once again dazzle fans with a retro console this Holiday season. As reported, Sony, on the other hand, is releasing a PlayStation Classic console in December.

So far all announced new Nintendo hardware is in stock online for pre-order or purchase as for instance the new Nintendo Switch Fortnite bundle has been already released.

The two limited edition Nintendo Switch Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee bundles are available for pre-order at GameStop. Walmart and Amazon are sold out. These super hot Pokemon Switch consoles will be released on November 16.

Each bundle include a Nintendo Switch Pikachu and Eevee Edition system, a copy of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!, and the Poké Ball Plus accessory. The $399.99 Nintendo Switch Pokemon bundles are only available for pre-order at GameStop.com at this moment. We pretty sure that both limited edition Nintendo Switch Pokemon consoles will be impossible to find in stock closer to the Holidays.

Also new for the Holiday shopping season is the Nintendo Switch Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition Console. The special Super Smash Bros Nintendo Switch bundle contains a specially Designed dock. The game is featuring fighters from the originSmashper smash Bros. Game, a download code for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Also in the bundle is a Super Smash Bros. Themed Joy-Con Controllers. The download code for the game won’t be active until the game launches on Dec. 7. The release date of the Nintendo Switch Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition Console is November 2 on gamestop.com.

It would be quite the change to not have a hyped new Nintendo hardware this Holiday shopping season to hunt down. The NES Classic and the SNES Classic are both in stock online at gamestop.com. Nintendo has completely satisfied the demand for these two retro consoles.
