Poke Ball Plus Has Secret Pokemon Go Feature

The new Poke Ball Plus is not just working with the Switch.

The Pokemon Let's Go for Nintendo Switch game release is next week on November 16. The wait for the first RPG Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch will be over. Along with the Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee games, Nintendo will release the Poke Ball Plus.

Poke Ball Plus is a controller for the Switch shaped like a Poke Ball. The Poke Ball Plus lights up, vibrates, and plays sounds based on what you do in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee game.

If a friend has a Poké Ball Plus of their own, they can help you catch and battle alongside you to make it a 2-player adventure. When you take your favorite Pokémon out with you in the Poké Ball Plus accessory, you can also gently shake it to hear the Pokémon inside! Connect Poké Ball Plus to the Pokémon Go app and it will light up and vibrate when you’re near a Pokémon or Poké Stop.

What Nintendo revealed now in Japan (via NintendoSoup) is that the Poke Ball Plus is automatically receiving items from all PokeStops that you pass by in Pokemon Go, but only if there is a Pokemon inside the ball.

The Poke Ball Plus sells for $49.99 on amazon.com and walmart.com. It's also available in bundles with the Let's Go games for $99.99.
