Samsung Folds Over Logo Ahead of Developer Conference

The foldable smartphone is about to be unveiled.

Samsung is teasing the long talked about the foldable phone with a change of its logo on social media. The Samsung logo is shown folded over now ahead of the Samsung Developer Conference 2018, kicking off on Wednesday in San Francisco.

The opening keynote is scheduled for 10 am Pacific. DJ Koh President and CEO of Samsung is among the speakers. He is likely the one introducing the foldable Samsung smartphone.

According to a South Korean media report earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy F has a 7.29-inch main display and a 4.58-inch sub-display. The Galaxy F (tentative name) is when unfolded a tablet and in the folded state a regular smartphone. Samsung has placed the sub-display on the outside. Owners of the foldable smartphone do not have to open it to see information on the screen. This design is different from early prototypes Samsung has shown years ago.

Samsung has first talked about a foldable phone in 2013.
