Sony PlayStation Classic Set for Price Cut

The PlayStation Classic is in stock everywhere.

The Sony PlayStation Classic launched on Monday. You can find the PlayStation Classic in stock at all of Sony's major retail partners. The $99.99 PS Classic is in stock at, Walmart, Best Buy and Target.

There is just not enough demand for the PlayStation Classic, else some retailers would have sold out by now. This is not just to blame on the list of pre-installed games, reviews of the PlayStation Classic also revealed technical flaws. The display quality on some games is worse than on the original PlayStation. The main problem is with the 9 PAL version games that are part of the line-up.

The bad reviews, low consumer excitement will lead to retailers to cut the price of the PlayStation Classic even before Christmas. We expect to see the PlayStation Classic be on sale for $59.99 soon.

Sony announced the $99.99 PlayStation Classic on September 20. End of October, Sony revealed the full list of 20 PlayStation Classic games that you can play on the mini PlayStation.

The PS Classic console is approximately 45% smaller than the original PlayStation, and it emulates the original’s look and feel by featuring similar controllers and packaging. The console comes with two controllers, and HDMI cable but no power adapter. Sony is not packaging an USB power adapter with the PlayStation Classic. The PlayStation Classic requires a USB power adapter that supports 5V, 1.0 A USB (Type A).
