KitchenAid Smart Display: Release Date, Price and Everything You Need to Know

The KitchenAid Smart Display is set to become a popular Holiday 2019 gift.

KitchenAid unveiled the KitchenAid Smart Display at the CES 2019. The Google Assistant powered KitchenAid Smart Display has features such as step-by-step recipe instructions, shopping lists and smart home control, all hands-free for when fingers are covered in dough.

The KitchenAid Smart Display includes Yummly voice and visual meal planning and guided cooking functionality. With the Google Assistant, users will be able to easily search for recipe inspiration and watch instructional videos to confidently create delicious meals at home, manage and control their smart home devices and enjoy music and live TV.

The KitchenAid Smart Display features a 10-inch display for easily viewing your favorite content for the kitchen and more. KitchenAid Smart Display will also be IPX-5 rated for resistance to faucet water, ensuring a worry-free cooking or baking experience and allowing kitchen creatives to fearlessly tackle multi-step recipes and easily wash and clean the device.

The KitchenAid Smart Display will also offer the functionality of a Google Home Hub. It also has a camera for video chat.

KitchenAid kept the press-release vague on the final feature set. This is an indication that the release date of the KitchenAid Smart Display is still further out. CNET reports that the smart kitchen device ships in the second half of 2019. We expect the timing to be for the Holiday shopping season. The KitchenAid Smart Display is not a great innovation, but the brand power of KitchenAid and the customizations for kitchen use make the device a hot Holiday 2019 tech gift.

The price of the KitchenAid Smart Display is not announced yet, but will likely be around the price of a Google Home Hub ($150).
