CES 2019: E-Vone Fall Detection Smart Shoes

French company shows smart safety shoes at CES.

The E-Vone smart shoes are connected and have GPS and a motion sensor built-in. In case the wearer of an E-Vone shoe falls an alert is sent via SMS to get help.

E-Vone is not the first time at CES. There are now more models available and pricing. You can't buy these smart shoes, it's a subscription including the safety service. The price in Europe is supposed to be 35 Euro per month. When the E-Vone smart shoes are available is not known. The company offers shoes in many styles for consumers, but also for the workers. Wearables have recently been proven to avoid accidents at the workplace in a 3-year-long study.

At the CES 2019, wearables compete with many other technologies. A few weeks later is a much more focused conference and expo in Germany that is only about wearables and related technologies. The Wearable Technologies 2019 Europe will kick off Feb. 3, 2019. I4U News readers get a 20% discount on tickets for the WT Wearable Technologies Conference 2019 with code WT_i4u.
